engine noise getting louder

I'm in my second week with my G37 auto and it seems that the engine noise is getting louder, especially at low speeds. Maybe I'm just imagining things, but I could swear that the engine noise sounds much "raspier" then before. Instead of having a deep, throaty sound, it sounds more busy and complicated. Is this normal? Maybe I'm just used to my Z with downpipes.

Anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Actually, I got mine on Aug 24th and it was a little light for sound and as I approached 800 miles it has become more "throaty" - which I love!
