1) My car makes this whining noise and it looks like is coming from the alternator (I use a screwdriver to locate the sound). I get 13.8 with no accessories/lights/electric fan on, then i get 13.4 with all my hid, lights, electric fan, stereo, etc on. I thought your suppose to have the output power between 13.8-14.8. Do you think is a bad alternator?
2) Whenever i drive my car and when i come to a stoplight and press on the break and my idle gets low (500rpm) then it jumps back up to 700-800rpm when im in a complete stop. Do you think the alternator could be the issue or can it be some other problem?
Please help this been happening for a long time.
PS. The alternator is from a nissan quest i upgraded.
