Iam getting ready to soon start up my fresh rebuilt KA(hope it starts :D) but my question is oil pressure!!! How do I get it to build some oil pressure before I start it? Can I just unplug the fuel pump relay and unplug the ignition coil and turn it over??? Any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

I cut the gear teeth off of an extra pump drive rod, installed it . Then I took a 1/4 pipe nipple and crushed one end in a vice to an oval shape. I then chucked the round end of the nipple in a 1/2" hand drill and put the oval end on the drive shaft end that couples to the distributor. This allowed me to prime the whole oil system before turning the crank. JUst make sure you remove the oil pump and reinstall the drive rod with teeth before starting the engine!
