Ok, there's soo much mixed info on motor mounts in this section that it would give anyone searching a headache...so basically i'm trying to figured it out once and for all, and no doubt many will benifit from this...

FACT: SR motor mounts are the same as KA engine mounts

FACT: Stock mounts are rubber

Unknown: What are Nismo mounts made of? Some say derlin, some say just rubber. If its just rubber why do they cost so much? Nismo is usually a quailty product not just a relabled stock peice.

Unknown: What are Cusco mounts made of? Havn't heard much talk about these on the board, anyone know anything about them?

Unknown: Does anyone make polyurethane motor mounts? I've heard a few people mention it but i've yet to see them for sale anywhere.

No doubt there are many more questions from others so feel free to add...and no doubt there are a few out there that know the answer to some of these and just didn't realize it wasn't common knowledge...and if this was already all figured out in another post, i didn't find it when i searched...no guessing now guys, just the facts!

They are not the exact same, I've seen it with my own eyes. The driverside KA mount is different than the SR mount. It's a very small difference but trust me when I say that they are different. The 'bolt' is just slightly more offset on the SR mount compaired to the KA one.

Its been posted hundreds of times on the board that they're interchangible, and Nismo sells the mounts for both but they're the same part number...most sites selling them list them as SR/KA mounts...thats where i got it from...

no..they arent the same...yes they are interchag'able'....and you can use both of them...but they are not the same.

nismo ka mounts, might be the same as nismo's sr mounts, but they arent the same as stock ka mounts then....if they were, why would they make them?? There are differences.

The nismo mounts raises up the engine about an inch. It does seem to be rubber with a hard glaze over it just to make it stiffer from what I can tell. I don't have enough money to test what they're made out of.

The nismo mounts are stiffer then the stock mounts. My stock mounts would let the engine buck and turn a lot. The nismo ones seem to barely let my motor move too much.
