Maybe someone can help me. I pulled my engine out to replace the clutch because my drive way is crush rock could not safely use jack stands. Everything is done
but i cant get the engine to line up with both engine mounts only one wants to go in then the other one is like 1 inch to 1/2 inch away from going in no matter
how straight i get it on the engine lift any help would be greatly appreciated my cars a 1989 240sx with stock ka24e.

i had this problem like 3 times its easy to do. get in one side i usually do the exhaust side first, get it in then put the nut on a few threads so it wount come off. Then i used a long a** piece of black pipe and put it between the manifold and head then pushed up so it twists the motor over and it moves the other mount down into the spot where u need it. then have a friend watching to see how much you have to push on it. i do this and it takes about 30 seconds to get it in the mount.

I was in the engine bay rocking the hell out of it for over 30min nothing even put some grease on the tip of the bolt and mount to try and help it slide
in nothing. Would not go in the hole then it got dark and now its snowy.

Are they OEM mounts? The studs on oem mounts are staggered so you can just rotate the mount if it's off a couple of mm.

for the thread is useless without picture's people. the pic of the wheel wheel is a rust hole i cut out and welded a patch in
and the messy looking seam is seam sealer because my welding is not water tight.

Before rust cut out or repaired.

After rust hole cut out new steel welded in and seam sealer and painted.

looks clean otherwise. u can always weld the s*** out of something and go thru with a grinder and smooth out the surface. hope the weather gets better. its cold as hell here and im having blower motor problems and its my daily to work lol

yeah i know the grinder trick but i new my welds would have pin holes or cracks some where
so seamed it to help it from rusting out that was my logic behind it any ways. my car is a rotting
hunk of junk here pic proof and how good the Weather is today. can't you change the blower motor
from under the hood at least but then you just have to find one.

not sure if you got the motor in or not but make sure you loosen the mounts up from the bottom also, they are slotted on the bottom and will move side to side when loosened up. I had the same problem getting my sr in until I realized that. Then it slid right in like butter.

yup, once you get under there you will see there slotted so they can move around, you shouldnt need to use a pry bar or anything, should drop rite in.
