im about to start making modifications to the engine and just wanted to know what yalll think about the setup i wanna do. tell me if i should change or add anything to it. i plan on running mostly nismo except for certain things they dont carry.

I think that you haven't even decided on a setup yet. I also think that you shouldn't aske people what they think of your setup. I think you should do what you want to do.

The only reason I posted asking what setup to do was because I was flip-flopping back and forth for a couple of months (not that I'll even start working on a motor till spring). A few friends and two key posts swayed me to a definite choice.

Well.... if you are debating putting in a turbo... the Hotshot header and intake would be pretty much useless.

I wasn't aware NISMO made an exhaust, I guess you learn something new every day.

An intercooler would also be useless without a turbo.

"High performance cams and shaft" sounds like a good idea, what kind shaft(Drive, cam, half(output), crank)?

You can do N2O no matter what setup you chose.

i like the nos w/ intercooler option myself. wat about those electric turbos for intakes on ebay too?

How about we give the guy a little guidance.

-You will not need headers with a turbo kit, because you will have a turbo manifold instead. An intake is useless.

-You won't need an intercooler if you're not doing a turbo. Go read about turbocharged engines and you'll know what i mean

may I suggest you do some or should I say a lot research before you spend your money!! You might get away with just a cold air intake for $60 thay sound cool when you punch it!

yea please do research first wish i found the forum button before i started to mod my 240 would have gone differnt way. but i forget who, mental block, NX Zex NOS someone makes an intercooler nitrous kit guess it works the same way an intercooler does on a turbo. it even mounts up in the front grill

are u thinkin of the n2o kits that spray some n2o in the intercooler to aid in cooling it? NX makes em.

thanks for the help now that i know that i gues sit iwll make more sense just to go with:

thats probably the cheapest and works out best for me considering the fact i shouldnt put 4000 into an engine i might have to rebuild soon unless it keeps on running well like it is now with 157k miles on it.

yea thats it i remember lookin at their site and seeing it they have a lot of different kits. some were pretty cool. like one that has a real small and i think a setup that u cant really notice
