I have had my 93 fb for about a year now and it has always had a very small mis at low rpms and accelerating slowly. it almost seems like it is not missing but it just doesnt make the power it should. once you get on it and the rpms get above say 4000rpm you can feel the engine making more power like it is a vtec. and it seems to be running a little rich. i have done a complete engine rebuild/tune up about 1000 miles ago and checked the egr valve. it does better but the problem is still there. oh yeh it seems worse when it is cold. it is really starting to get on my nerves. i am thinking maybe the coil or distributor is going out. has anyone had this problem? sorry for the long post but any help will be appreciated.

topic: engine missing

what do you mean the engine's missing? it didn't jump out and run away. someone must have stole it.

Low rpm missing could be tons of things. Mine does the same thing, I think its a sensor making it retard the timing. Try advancing the timing a little bit, and see if that helps any, if it does, then maybe its being retarded for some reason, if it doesn't help, then its an ignition system problem(probably).

i had a similer problem...i got rid of the AIV and the O2 sensor, bolted on a header and BRM 2.5" exhaust and it's solid now. however timing is criticle experiment with it a lil.

DOOM out.
