Hello new here again... lol have been out of the car scene for a while now but finally back in it. Just got a 92 s13 with a rb25 in it. Has factory rb ecu in car runs, revs great. Runs a little hot and idles a little high. Was thinking about looking into engine management just wondering if you guys had any suggestions on which are good and user friendly since I've never dealt with any before. Ty

If you're uncomfortable with programmable units, I suggest JWT or enthalpy. Both have great track records with plug and play tunes. With the RB, Enthalpy does use a Z32 ECU to run everything. Since I don't deal with RBs, I'm unsure if you'll need some kind of adapter harness, but that's probably likely knowing how Nissan sets up their ECU plugs.

If you like to delve into programmable stuff, you have Nistune and AEM. NismoTronic was talking a while back about doing 6 cylinders, but as far as I know, they haven't yet. The big thing with anything programmable, is you should find a solid base map to work with and then make fine tune adjustments. Last thing you want to do is burn up your motor because the settings were never close to spec for that setup in the beginning

Perfect thank you, and yes I am uncomfortable with programmable management. I like to be handy and do things myself but idk about all that lol. I think for me and for what I want out of the car a piggy back set up is perfect. I'll have to do some homework and look into those. Thanks @ Hijacker

I try to refrain from suggesting piggy back systems to most people. I've never had much luck with them unless it was to make minor adjustments (such as a small increase in injector size). My experience has been they make okay fine tune adjustments, but they suck at a major EFI change.

I really do recommend spending the money on a reflash.

+1 for everything said here. I'm not a fan of splicing into the factory harnesses for piggyback systems. It can lead to reliability issues with loose connections in the future.

Yeah right now I'm simply trying to get info on pretty much anything I can right now. But thanks for the feedback guys. :bigthumb:
