Just curious as to what everyone is running for aftermarket engine management systems and how its been wokring for them.

i currently have an RB25DET in my 240, i was considering getting the Apex'i PFC but i heard that there are few tuners in Cali that can really tune the PFC. So im most likely going to go with the AEM EMS.

if i do go with an PFC then imma get a base tune from a friends skyline here in stock trim and just swap ECU when i get back to Cali. thanks in advance for any info provided.

im really waiting for some more people to try nistune. never liked the idea of piggybacks.

if nistune works well, it could save me the hassle of megasquirt.

I have power FC, but realistically by the time you get FC and datalogit you can go alot of other directions.

Your talking about plug n' plays... if I hadn't gotten FC relatively cheap (before they were discontinued) I would have gone full standalone.

I have the Nistune board for my RB20. I used the software before to tune a few SR20VE's out here and I loved it. Everything was easy to get too and you didn't have to be a rom wizard either.

I have yellow4g63's old power fc. I use zeitronix zt2 and dataloggit to tune. I have power fc's for both my rb's now.

PowerFC - Love it

All you need is: PowerFC, Datalogit software, wideband, and a laptop and you can tune the car yourself.

I'm running a Microtech, great unit, wasn't bad to install. Service sucks since they are in the AU, decent price.

If I had done it over again I'd have spent a few bucks and went with the Motec system, possibly Electromotive as well. But more towards Motec, the extra features they have are amazing.

I am using a Wolf V500 for my rb25det... I love it, and the dual maps come in handy. Just like microtech, they are based out of Aus, but the service aspect is awesome!

It has all of the features of a haltech e11v2, and some more features... Super easy to tune once you get initial setup done.

Where can you usually find a Power FC for a rb20 does it replace the ecu along with the harness I would call it?

It replaces the ecu. it's a stand alone unit. Good luck with finding a AP PowerFC they don't make them anymore. You have to get lucky like S14 did and find someone with it. Sometimes there on ebay for like 1500 lol.

lol you live in a box? hah there are TONS of setups to use. Just depends on your pockets and what you really want.

I remember when the PFC was like $695 on ebay with the damn controller!

i'm using PFC w/ controller and datalogit. I think i'm going to be pushing the capabilities of a MAF this year though, so I may be selling it and getting a AEM unit so I can run a MAP sensor instead. Not sure about how much more of a MAF is out there, lol
