engine light wont go away!!!!

ok so i use jb welding and a metal nut to block my egr pipe and it holds on well

but my problem is my engine light for the engine light wont go away after i jb weld it (it still stays on before and after the weld)

how can i make the engine light go away?

i heard something about doing the resistor install but then wanna see if anyone had gotton rid of the light in their way

its been about a month now and its pissing me off

yeah it's some kind of EGR temp sensor that was in the California model cars.I'm in NY so... yeah no CEL for me.

The resistor will work if you do it, i just don't remember how many ohms it needs to be.
