engine light problem help???

my 93 240sx, when i drove the car then the engine light come on and off but when i stop the car then the engine light is not on no more...oh and also sometime the engine light is coming on when i step on the gas paddle. but when i let go the gas then the engine light is off...why?? anyone?

TRY GETTING THE ENGINE LIGHT TO STAY ON LONG ENOUGH TO TAKE IT TO A ADVANCE AUTO PARTS OR AUTO ZONE AND HAVE THEM RUN A FREE DIAGNOSTIC ON THE CAR! GOOD LUCK
