I was surprised no one had chimed in on your prob, maybe cuz it's spring break??!!

So I haven't had this issue before, but pasted from another site...supposedly a technical service bulletin was issued

ITB06-004a

INFINITI; MIL “ON” WITH DTC U1000 OR U1010 STORED IN ENGINE CONTROL UNIT
The MIL is “ON” with

• DTC U1000 (CAN COMM CIRCUIT)
OR
• DTC U1010 (CAN COMM) [2006 Models only]

stored in the engine control unit, and there are no drivability incidents.

I really don't know what that means, though...

A really old thread on our forum had one guy saying it was a CAN BUS communication error. The fellow who had it pop up just reset it with an OBDII reader device and didn't have a problems with it again, FWIW.

good luck with trying to figure it out
