My cars battery was dead a while ago, so i left my car in the garage while i install some parts on it. I installed a injen intake, but now when i start my car, the check engine light is on. I think i did everything ok.. The only thing i would be concerned about is that there are initially 2 plus i unpluged from the orignal factory filter, i believe its some air sensor. 1 of them plus in to the MAF, the other 1 in 1 of the OEM air tubes.

After i installed my intake, i came across a problem... 1 of the plug still plugs in the MAF, but another 1 that is suppose to go into 1 of the stock tude dont have a place to go. It was later on when i found out that there is a hole that looked like this ( . O . ) on the filter adaptor, so i modified it and pluged it in, but now my engine light is on.. anyone have any idea what might have happened?

i went on injen website, the FAQ section and i found out that they designed the injen intake to only take their filter i think.. or the engine light might come on.

i went and did some research and i fund that alot of people have the same problem... some have to disconnect the battery for 15min and reconnect it and it would be fine. Well i tried that and it didnt work. now im stuck... if i drive it.. i run the possibility of the engine being too lean.... what should i do? i know its something to do with this...

DO it the right way and pull the codes off your ecu - search or check 240sx.org on how to do this.

See if the codes have anything to do w/ MAF etc - it just happened because you probably were unplugging/plugging stuff while the battery was connected at some point.

You should have both sensors connected now - MAF & the IAT sensor or whatnot (looks like a lil resistor - goes into the adapter piece)

Then reset the ECU. and see if the codes come back.

If they don't come back, then you are fine. If they come back, there's something else wrong.

Its kinda hard to tell from your description.... and im assuming that by "plug" you mean hose, it sounds like you plugged the hole where the hose connects the MAF adapter plate and the AIV valve. If you still have your AIV valve in your car but pluged the hose for it I imagine it would cause a CEL. Check your box again though my intake came with a long hose to connect theose two parts.
