Engine lifting bolts

My search yielded nothing so here goes: Does anyone know some info on what bolts to buy to attach a KA24E to an engine hoist? Im looking for thread diameter, pitch, coarse or fine, hardness, material of contruction, etc to do this safely. Thanks guys

to attach it to a hoist? everyone i know bolts it to the manifold studs.

I bough some T8 rated bolt that match the ones taken out of the head at the front left and back right. I forget the size but I think know there was a screw in that I used for match up. I did this in case I bent them or you can get the brackets from Nissan that are indicated in this pic.

doh i just notched that you got a single cam engine. maybe it's the same deal.

when I pulled mine I put the chains around the intake and the exhaust manifold and it worked fine. But when we put the dohc in we put the chains through the motor mounts and that seemed more secure.

Can those brackets be found at any store or are they nissan specific? How much do they cost? So its the manifold bolts that you must remove to install them?

Hook the chain around the black brackets that bolt on to the block,The ones that the motor mount bolt goes thought.I think that way works the best.

i put mine around the runners of the manifolds. worked good for me

I used the 2 bolts in the pic but it doesnt matter.... we tied a damn rope... hell i could have called it a string around the intake runners to lift a motor once. I know its not something to take lightly but you dont have to go crazy with it.
