Engine knocking Need help

I have a 95 240sx with 164k miles on it, and yesterday, it started making a loud sharp knock mainly when you rev it, and then its pretty noisey as it goes back to idle....so now, im pretty sure i need a new engine to go along with another transmission since the transmission is whining bad (had no oil for a while). It was suppost to come today, but apparenly fedex damaged it. idk. So now i dont know what to do. Im having a hard time finding a good used engine to replace it with. I found one that has like 135k on it and the bottom end has been rebuilt (resurfaced crankshaft, new main bearings, new rod bearings, new gaskets and seals...but no piston work)...also comes with the 5spd. transmission with 70k on it, ecu, and wiring harness. all for $600. Seems like a great deal, but im just not sure about the rebuilt stuff, although it has 10k on the motor since rebuild. What do ya'll think?
