I recently got all new belts on my engine. I started to notice that there is a high pitched squeaking sound that happens when you start the engine. At first, it was for only about a second or so. But after letting the car sit over night and sometimes throughout the day, the squeaking goes on for 5 seconds (sometimes to 10). I know that it has something to do with either the belts or pulleys. I got curious one time and kind of gave the car some gas when I heard the noise and when I gave it gas, the pitch got higher. Can anyone verify that it is the pulley or belts. The belts that were put on with a one year warranty so I can easily have that fixed. If it is the pulleys then I have to buy the pulleys and get them installed. Or do they need to be oiled or something. I don't really have much knowledge with engine noises so any information would be great. Thanks guys.

The belt tensioner(s) just need a minor adjustment. A quarter turn tighter and you'll probably eliminate the squeaking belts.

It is possible that you have an idler pulley going bad as well. You would need to loosen the belts, spin the idler pulley by hand with nothing touching. If it doesn't spin smooth and you can feel play with the ball bearings inside then replace the pulley or the internal bearing.

My guess is you just need to tighten the tensioner a little bit though - most likely the main belt. I bet the AC belt is fine. It could be both though. Just listen to what side of the vehicle its coming from.
