Hi yall I am new here. Infact this is my first thread.

Yall I need some help I own a 1990 240 sx. the engine is a bone stock KA24e. I geuss I spun a rod bearing or busted a rod I DONT KNOW.

but I am pulling the engine out to try and find one to replace it.

I talked to someone Who says he will sell me his used 140,000 mileKA24de for $1,800 and all I have is $650.00 I am so broke I can't finance a toothpick Does anyone might know where I could find a used KA24de for the $ I have I am willing to trade My 99 dakota for a real decent built engine BUT THE FACT IS I MUST GET MY CAR RUNNING SOON

Any help would be greatly apreciated.

anything more than like 250 or so for a ka24 is a HUGE rip off man. don't buy from that drunky....

yea both ka24 engines are really cheap. even rebuild kits can be found under 500 bones. you probly can just sell that truck and have enough money for a decent project. why not trade the truck for another s13 or s14?

That is a ridiculous amount for a ka. You could buy a decent s13 for that amount of money. I would also look for another sohc unless your looking to do a de swap. Keep looking for another motor screw that guy you can find one for a under 400 easy

Yeah, no matter where in the country you are, anything over $500 is absurd, you should be able to find another KA anywhere for around 200-300..
