Okay okay, I know this has probably been discussed many of times.. I'm sorry for bringing it up agian, but I need to know some information on rods and pistons. I'm looking to turbo my Ka24e motor. It has 163kmiles on it right now, I dont feel too safe with turbo'ing a motor w/ that much mileage. I need want to know if you guys know any places that sell aftermarket forged internals, that don't cost as much as let's say 600+ for rods, 500+ for pistons. I'm just looking to cut corners in anyway I can..

I hate to say it, as its frowned upon here, but there have been many threads on this topic already. Your best bet is trying a search, both here and on yahoo or google, and you will turn up lots of stuff.Rods are 600 bucks (crower, pauter) and pistons are going to be starting around 400 (though one member said he can get them for 300) and you have a broader choice, race eng, JE, ross, arias, nismo among others.

websites?ka24de.comand raceeng.com I think those are right

if you want to "cut corners" (even though this is what I'm doing, and I dont see it that way..)- just get pistons, rings and bearings with your rebuild. Skip the rods if you're not gonna be reving real high (like 7000+ rpms). If you're looking to rebuild because of low compression (like I am in my 155k mile KA), the pistons will solve both your compression problems as well as possible future ring problems. I really dont see $700 rods as worth it at all...
