engine install with transmission?

well this is gona be my 3rd time installing a motor in my car i was wondering can i install it with the transmission on the motor?.. ive usually done it with just the motor and then installing the transmission once the motors in... if any one has any advise..im open ears.. thanks in advance!!!

I know a couple of guys that only do it that way. I think if you have a good load leveler that is easy to turn with load on it, then it should be very doable.

I've done it this way twice. by myself in my driveway, it takes a little muscle a little massaging and a whole hell of a lot of cursing but its doable. you need to have the car about 2 - 2.5 feet off the ground to do this so you can swing the end of the trans under the car. Also remove all the accessories and brackets from the engine and the vertical core support bracket from the front because you will need to flex the core support ever so slightly to get the oil pan to slide by.
