I just finished my 5 speed swap and am now attempting to reinstall the engine with the 5 speed attached, I have left the engine mount brackets on the side of the engine. I am trying to find out if there is an easy way or angle to drop the engine in. Thanks.

with the engine/trans on the hoist, position the chain in such a way that it causes the motor to tilt and put the trans low. Then, you'll want a jack under the car to help raise the trans back up as you start sliding/lowering the motor into place. That will get you close, but you'll still need to muscle the engine mounts backinto place (leave the mounts bolted to the brackets on the motor)

also make sure your clutch fan is out of the way. You can also go into a diagnal since the radiator support might block the oil pan. One last thing, it helps when the chassis is higher off the ground so you have a better clearance for the transmission.

obviously make sure your radiator is out and the shifter is off the transmission... have some decent sized crowbars around makes it easier but having a decent sized friend around is the best.
