engine idles funnie

hello guys, well my question is about the new hotshot headers ive just installed. so far everything has gone okie, but...... well all the bolts from the flange of the 4 point to the block lines up perfectly and is torqued corectly and in the right pattern. the flange on the bottom that connects to the cat is on perfectly too. the O2 sensor is on tight. now here is where my problem goes. the egr and the pcv holes is leaking some sort of gas or smoke. ive tried to tighten it the best that i could. do u guys think there might be n-e other way other then just pluging it up??? ive tighten both them things up but it wont go all the way. the engine idles really weird. it just warms up like normal, then about 3 minutes later. the idle just start dropping about 2 rpm like it starts at 1000, then 8 then 6 then 4 then 2. and then it just shoots right back up to 1000 again like nothing happen and it does that over and over. could that leak(s) be the problem??? thanks for all the advice guys.

well, i have tighten up the two holes. but the problems still continues. do n-e of you guys think it might be the o2 senor be messing up cause it is registering wrong??? doing the remvoal of the old headers, one of my boy sprayed it with wd-40. could that be the problem???
