Ive had my SR in my car for a while and its been acting up lately. When the engine is cold it is completely fine. If I drive on a highway for say 20 mins and then I come to a complete stop, the engine for an instant almost stalls out on me. The tach just drops all the way down almost stalling and then comes back up. More importantly, the car feels VERY laggy until after 3k. Im not sure is this is an overheating issue or a ignition issue or what, but the engine feels really laggy (more than usual) until it reaches above 3k RPM and I have full boost.

Any recommendations? Is this caused by bad spark plugs or anything else that anyone can think of?

It could be a number of things but for starters you can check...

All clamps/ couplings on intercooler pipingMake sure your timing is set correctly(via FSM)Set TPS via FSMYour ECU coolant temp sensor (Replace with KA24DE)Knock sensor (Replace with KA24DE)If you have E-fans, run them through a relay.Spark plug gap (0.028)

These are the exact problems I've been having. As soon as the boost threshhold is reached the problems go away. I'll recheck everything I can tomorrow and see if it gets fixed.

Timing was set 2 months ago when I installed the motor. Checked all the couplers with soap and water and no leaks. Going to try changing the spark plugs and hopefully that will help. Any one else have this problem and were able to fix it?

Changing out the O2 sensor fixed my problem.
