when i was ka-t i relocated my battery to the trunk of the car. The ohm reading from the negative terminal and the pos. on bare metal is at .1 meaning the ground was good?

I grounded the engine with a 4G wire from the intake mani to the strut tower. I checked the ohm reading there and got .38... so i must not have a good ground correct?

I was checking the o2 sensor out as well... from a previous post i read... the shielding from the o2 wire harness will sometimes break inside causing a short in the o2 sensor.

to check this i was told to check for continuity. I placed my negative probe on the intake mani and the pos. probe on the harness side of the o2 spade (disconnected from o2 wire) and the tester made a BEEP noise indicating there is continuity correct? that is not supposed to happen.....?

my gas milage has been TERRIBLE and running pretty rich... this may be the problem? I checked codes and recieved a code 41... not sure what that one is... but it was not listed in the trouble code sheet.

Yeah if it's continuous for a KA, the signal is getting grounded. Replace the wire.

replace the o2 wire? The sheilded wire on the harness side must have a break in it somewhere causing this problem.
