So............I try to fix my power steering leak on the high pressure line with a piece of heater core hose(shoulda known better).
I go for a test run and the line busts spraying all over my header and catching on fire. Due to the flames and heat in the engine bay I lose my brakes and clutch.
Finally I get the fire put out and pay $50 to get the car towed. I replaced the brake fluid resivoir and brake booster line and check valve due to them being completely melted.
I need to know about the three little metal tubes on back of the cylinder head(drivers side). Before the fire there were vaccum lines connected to them.
The engine seems to run fine without the vaccum lines other than the high idle caused by the vaccum leak.
I'd like to know what they are for and if they can just be plugged off.
Any help is appreiactedBrad
