Had a couple of questions about my engine fire,A few weeks ago I just got my spec stage 3 clutch broke in and I finally boosted my car hard,It was pulling hard and running great,Then I smelt something and seen smoke from under the engine bay.It was on fire, luckily someone stopped right away and put it out.It looks like the dipstick pushed out, and oil hit the manifold.I started buying stuff to fix it and one guy came over and said I had to much crank case pressure under boost.Has anyone heard of this, and how can I fix it.Here is my setup.Fully rebuilt ka motor, bottom mount manifold,Garrett t25,370 injectors,p60 mafs,Wideband and safc, fmic, hks bov. Thanks Brian

too much crank case pressure huh... sounds like you have some bad rings... I would start looking for "hot spots" or the area of intense burns, see what it is and next to it...

where was the fire at when you opened the hood?

Do you have a breather/filter on your valve cover? If so you need to get an oil catch can, and hook it up in between a hose to your intake, before your MAF.

how much boost calls for a can cause the MINUTE amount my ka puts out doesnt even bother me. its just open with the wire filter... maybe a drip every 200 miles or so, beating the **** out of it...

The reason i asked is because i've seen guys hook their pcv system up wrong and pressurize the crank case.
