WoW looking real nice and clean.

I got an off topic question. Why do some valve covers have the window in the side and some dont.

I have like 6 90-93 motors and some have the windows on the valve cover and some dont regardless of the year.

Wow looks nice. I hope my Z32 will look half as good. I don't think I am gonna spring for the dry sump though so I'll have to work out a factory-like rear sump/pickup. I apologize if you get this question a lot and have already covered it but... Is your car right-hand-drive or was the photo mirrored to mess with people?

If it is RHD, what are the laws like in IN that let you do that? (maybe the dry sump should hint to me that its a track car)

That is so sweet. I will have to pay you royalties so I can build a sister engine for my Q if I ever modify from stock.

How did you get 5 liters?

Did you just bore it out?

Not sure, the engine builder sourced them from a supplier he uses. Being UK sourced I would doubt they're chevy though. And yes, the old ones were bored out as part of the process of enlarging the bores. If you want I can get some details but I can guarantee that the $:£ rate is going to make buying anything from over here a no go at the minute!

That isnt my intention. I'm just trying to find out if the sleeves as we call them in the USA, you were using were a product for another car.

John, I'm curious about the fitting for the oil pressure line that goes into the block. Isnt there a threaded port there normally? Why did you weld the fitting on?

Was just easier than using a converter to -10 JIC, its an unusual thread for a hydraulic fitting. Can't remember what now but think its a 1.75 pitch and most hydraulic ones are 1.5.

I thought the oil pressure tap was a British plumbing fine thread standard?

Godspeed, Master Dixon!

The one for the pressure sender is (I think 1/8BSP) but that would be too small to use as a feed line and by the time there is a converter and fitting on there it would be right in the way of the manifolds.Think the ones stinky means are like the one you can see on the second picture next to where the original oil pressure filter housing was (allen head).

I would have thought the same thing. I know that the KA24DE's fittings used a BSPT which I think is British standard pipe thread. I heard it dates back to prince motors and some british racing influence.
