i have a really nice 240 vert, stock. but its very clean etc. anyway it overheated. so im replacing the radiator, water pump, (which was seized), hoses, thermostat, all the gaskets. anyway my car has two cooling fans on it. one's connected to the water pump and is thermostatic. the other one is electric and im pretty sure only kicked on with the a/c. i went to test my elec fan today to make sure all my stuff is working b4 i put it back together, and i cannot get my elec fan to spin. plugged it directly to a battery, and nothing. so i plugged it back into the harness under the hood, set the ignition to "on" turned on the a/c, and nothing still. but i dunno if that would have done it anyway. is there another way to test this fan? also i called regular parts stores and they never heard of this extra cooling fan. could someone be really really nice, and tell me if thier elec fan will turn on when they turn on thier a/c, but not have the engine running. this will help me decide if i need to replace my fan or not. i know on my old cars i could test my elec fans just by having the ignition on without needing to crank the engine. thanks guys.
