The engine fan on my 09 Versa S Manual seems to start running on and off every time I drive it. It appears to come on within about 10 – 20 minutes of driving. I can really hear and feel it kick in when at idle e.g. stop light it’ll push the rpms up close to 1000. I do run the A/C quite a bite now as it’s starting to get quite hot in Florida.

I drive the car normally I don’t push it hard or anything. I haven’t done anything to it and not heard odd sounds. The fluids seem to be above the minimum I even topped off the coolant as it was getting close to the minimum.

This could well be normal for this car but thought I’d ask. I’ve driven a manual late 90’s Saturn over here and only ever noticed the fan come on that car when it sprung a leak in the radiator and when the water pump went out. I’ve also driven a late 90’s Ford (auto) and never from what I remember heard the engine fan come on that thing. I’ve no check engine lights on the Versa and no leaks anywhere.

Yea...no worries. I noticed it too when I first got my V back in '07. On hot days here in Florida...it seems as soon as I stop at a light or stop sign it kicks in right away.
