I think I'm having ecu or fuel pump problems.

Here's the problem: When I start the car it will idle and if I touch the gas pedal it dies. It's trying so hard to keep its idle and just falls on its face. What does this sound like to you guys off the bat?

-I'm on my second ecu and finding a J4 is not easy-The fuel pump I purchased was not a walbro, it was an off brand with the same 255lph and it saved me a couple bux. <-- possibly real crappy pump

A vacuum leak. Check for any hoses that might have come loose.

also, cam angle sensor could be off a hair. have you let the car run for awhile and then try to rev it up? could be running a safe mode or something.

I've checked for vacume leaks and nothing. Here's how my vac lines are set up. Can you guys check them for me.3 ports from TB--Bottom gets left alone-Bigger port---->BOV-Smaller port--->FPR-->Boost gauge-->Boost Controller (turbo pressure)-IC pipe has port-->Wastegate-->Boost controller

The crank angle sensor was mechanicly set to where its supposed to be. Used frsport.com write up for that. Lined all the dots up at TDC.

The MAF is fine. I'm on the 4th one just to make sure. I'll be rechecking these things when I get home in the next hour. I'll report back. Thanks for all the feedback!

sounds like my old problem exept when i press the gas very very soft it would rev up and once it was past 2000rpms i could rev it all the way up... never figured out what it was cause i fixed so much at once i checked my wiring and 1 wire was wrong. then i fixed my timing again it was off a tooth. then 1 injector wasnt firing and it ended up being the plug from the harness.. just start checking everything.... good luck

Took the valve cover off to do this again. I also now have another CAS that I'll swap out to see what happens. Before I bolt everything back up can you guys check the line up of the dots. On frsports write up it says:

"If this procedure is done correctly, the second notch on the shaft should now line up with the notch on the housing, and the CAS position (can rotate it +-30 or so degrees...) should be centered"

Mine isn't exactly centered but the dots line up. Here's some pics, is this right?
