Engine Differences: 350Z and Maxima??

What's done to the 3.5 engine to give the Z cars more h.p. than Maximas and Altimas? Is it just a computer programing thing, or is there a hardware difference??

This is a question I've looked pretty hard into, I don't have a lot of concrete evedence but I have come up with the following:

1) Zs have a better flowing exhaust from the factory = more hp2) Zs have a better plenum3) Zs run different ecu programs that are slightly more aggresive utilizing the better intake and exhaust.

Internaly they are exactly the same with the exception of the 35an's where they changed the cams.
