It seems to be running fine now, with the current sensor. but my problem now is that i have the CAS maxed all the way to advance and it is still off. its at about 25 - 30 degrees BTDCNeedCAforS13 wrote:a faulty coolant temp sensor will cause running problems when the car is warmed up. try replacing that, its cheap, and could be an easy solution.
I set it refering to the FSM. I have an old sears timing light my grandfather gave me. Im trying to get the 4th eched mark on the lower timing pullie, to line up with the little arrow on the lower timing cover. I aslo have a dwell but have noooooo idea how to use that.NeedCAforS13 wrote:how are you setting timing? what are you using for your timing light? what I'm trying to ask is if you're setting timing correctly as shown in the FAQ's...

I counted the belts teeth between the each gear. Im pretty sure im doing everything right. The nearist motor remotely close to a CA around me is a RB20.NeedCAforS13 wrote:<3 perfect, well done. have you counted the teeth between marks on the belt, or are you just relying on the painted lines on the belt itself? double check that. I'll keep thinking... you're doing timing correctly, your belt is on right, might be your CAS I suppose. You have another CA owner near you willing to loan you a CAS to test out?
