My KA24DE dies right when I throw it into neutral. It doesn't matter what gear I'm in, the RPM will just go right down to zero if I continue to throw it into neutral. Anyone knows what might be causing this?

More information please... like is it a slow drop to zero? Or quickly? Does it start normally? Does it die when you press the clutch?

It drops fast, but on the other hand, it starts normally and does not die when I press on the clutch.

So when you press the clutch, it won't die, but as soon as you put it in neutral, it will die?

It won't die if I press the clutch, it only dies when I throw it into neutral while the car is running.

Weird... that makes me think it's a sensor problem.

Either that or the shift fork might be bent or something off the wall like that.

Did it just start doing this? Did you change anything recently?

It started a week ago. I started up my motor this morning and it began to bog. It keeps on jumping from 500 to 1000 rpm on neutral (car not running), but will still continue to die if in neutral while the car is running. Weird. Do you know what might cause this too?
