Engine Degreaser, GRR

Allright, so I just pulled the engine out of my 240, and my engine bay and under my hood has 13 years of dirt stuck to it, and I just went to AutoZone and bought some stuff called gunk, and it hasn't done anything yet, barely any of the dirt came off. What should I get? I want the most hardcore stuff I can buy.

id use gunk and a rag, and scrub....maybe use a wirebrush if you feel its necessary....i dont use it the way they say to, and a hose, i just use a rag full

I haven't found anything that won't remove. I tried cleaning a rifle with it once and it took all bluing off as well as the carbon.

Works well as a wasp killer to.
