Heyy Float thanks!

I´ve seen those on my search and they look pretty nice, but they are kind of expensive, how much would a used damper cost? I know ebay doesnt have em but I was hoping someone had one laying around hehe

I guess if we cant find em he will need to save money on order those hehe

Tx

Never seen one used, unless you're looking for a stock one. They are really nice. I have one on my motor. LOL!

This is the balancer i'm be using on my current build, I'd suggest contacting them direct and not buy the eBay one as i paid $75 less than what the eBay Buy Now price is.

Is this a real harmonic balancer, not just a solid piece crank pulley? 'Cause $225 for a brand new piece sounds like a deal, if it is. That's half of the Ross piece.

Edit: just read the item description. Seems like it is indeed a true balancer. I guess I'll stop looking for an old/bent/chipped stock one. I'm just not sure underdriving the alternator is a good idea. Is it?

yeah its a true full balancer, the under driven altenator will only worry you on idle, and how much time do you spend idling.

If anyone stil wants to throw in a used one we ll be happy to buy

Could you tighten the stock belts enough to account for the "shorter" length?

Apparently not, I haven't got my built engine running yet but the posts on NS.com from the people who fitted these said that they needed to buy new belts. Still they are only around $15 each, and i'm not running an aircon so i'm only up for $30. Compared to the $6000 i've spent on the engine i think i can lash out on some new belts.

EDIT!!

Found the post from NS.com;
Some numbers:

Stock ---- PowerBond 20% underdrive

Weight grams: 3285.1 ---- 2554.4

Belts:
Alternator 4PK0855 ---- 4PK825 approx or nearest
Aircon 4PK0845 ---- 4PK815 approx or nearest
PS 4/3PK0835 ---- 4/3PK800 approx or nearest (check if yours is 3 or 4 lines)

Diameter ~150mm ---- ~120mm

Hi D_Stirls,

do you think you could buy another one of those units at that price, and mail it to me? I can paypal you price + shipping + what you deem fair. (I'm in Hungary, Eu. Ausmail quotes $52.90 for a 4kg package by sea mail, don't know if there's a more economical way)

I've contacted their distributor in nearby Poland, but they can't really be bothered to help... :(
