frontier 2.4L engine skips, cuts out for as long as 3 seconds. Truck jerks hard. Idle is good and can go from idle speed to 2700 rpm and engine is smooth. Shop can't find trouble/cause of terrible running at 50-70 MPH. I had to have truck towed to shop and the next day they say it runs good. Help.

It could be a number of things, but I would check battery cables first, then Mass Air Flow Sensor wire connections, and lastly the fuel filter/ fuel pressure regulator, and fuel pump.
I recall doing some modifications to mine which involved the MAF sensor wires. When they became loose, it had a dramatic effect similar to what you're describing.
Hope this helps.

Jonathan 1173 provided good information. Besides his info. I would check for a restriction in the exhaust system. Check the EGR valve, might bad or sticking due to a carbon build up this would allow hot gases to enter the the intake manifold. This would change the input going to the ECU. Check the TPS. This also provides info,to the ECU.
