Hey there, I tried searching but couldn't find a problem quite like mine and any help would be appreciated. I'm building a 95 KA about a week ago I replaced the spark plugs and degreased the engine. The car seemed to run fine after replacing the spark plugs and i didn't drive it (except to park it back in it's spot) after degreasing it and spraying down the engine. After letting it sit for about a week the car had a little trouble starting up the first time and now when I hit 4500rpm in first or second (not sure about the other gears) it suddenly stops all acceleration and continues to do so until i let off of the accelerator and press back in. I'm sure there are things that I should be running diagnostics on, just not sure what! Anyway any advice would be bad a**.

Cheers.

most likely your mass air flow or the pigtail. one of my wires had a bad connection and the power would cut out, then come back, then cut out again. i chopped the old pigtail off, wired up a new one and it runs perfect now. ive got like 3 or 4 extra dohc maf pigtails if u need one

also if its not the maf check your fuel pressure and fuel volume.

Maybe you just need a new fuel filter.

I actually had just replaced my fuel filter the day before. I've noticed that it only happens at full throttle even if i'm at say 95% it'll go all the way up until redline. Socal that'd be awesome man what do you want for one?

I had a bird feather get onto the hot wire part of my maf and even cleaner couldn't get it out. Somehow it snuck in there when changing my air filter...it was really tiny and could barely see it. Had to take the sensor off of the housing and blow it out....problem solved. Also check for cracks in your intake tubing.
