After 3 months of waiting, my rebuild engine is finally finished. It is completly put in the car and every single wiring connector plugged in to where it belongs. I know this because: 1) i numbered each plug at both sides before i pulled the motor, and 2) i have my FSM that has a diagram of where everything plugs back into. The engine cranks via the starter and turns over just fine. I have plenty of fuel pressure, the distributor is turning with the engine. But i have no spark at my coil. My MSD 6AL ignition box is getting a solid 12V (verified that several times today) and my MSD Blaster 2 coil is still within specs (had Autozone test that today). I have looked over and over for a fuse or something that controls the ignition coil and have found nothing. According to my FSM, my plug wires are bad (a load of BS). I pull the coil wire off the distributor cap and instert a screwdriver and lay it across my strut tower to check for spark. Nothing. I even tried pulling a plug and checking for spark there. Again, nothing. So i need some help. Even if my distributor was put in 180 degrees off (i dont believe it is), then i would still have spark at the coil.

Well i dissassembled my distributor today and found some real bad news. The crank angles sensor plate was completly destroyed, wrapped around the shaft like a bawled up peice of paper. The rest of the distributor is fine. So do you think i can order or locate JUST the crank angle sensor plate or do i have to get a whole new distributor?

I don't believe Nissan sells internal parts for the dist. just the assembly. You might try the junkyard. Factory dist is around $400.
