Just a note to let people know of this potential problem and the fix. I was on the ferry to Ocracoke N.C. last week and when it was my turn to leave, my 2004 would not start. It would turn over but just wouldn't fire. Crew on the ferry had to push the car off onto Ocracoke Island. We checked everything we could possible think of including every fuse we could find, but could not get the car to fire. Ended up having the car towed 150 miles into a Nissan dealer in Elizabeth City at 4:30 AM. Called the dealer the next day and they informed we that it was a fuse to the E.C.M. I told them I checked every fuse in that car. Guess what there is a hidden fuse panel that contains a fuse to the E.C.M. I had the dealer show the fuse and how to get to it. The hidden fuse panel is against the fire wall on the passengers side. It is accessed from the engine bay and is located behind the windshield wiper arm enclosure. You will need a 14mm and a 10mm wrench to remove the 2 bolts holding the enclosure in place. I believe it was the top left fuse.Hope this helps anyone who runs into the "never happens scenario".
