How often do you guys/gals add engine coolant or bug wash windshield fluid to your versa??? Seems like I add Bug Wash Windshield Fluid every three weeks or even sooner. lol. There's a ton of bugs out this way.

I haven't had to add any since I got the car, but there aren't many bugs here in Toronto, I think all the pollution scares them away.

Barring a coolant leak somewhere, you should not need to add coolant to your Versa. It should last between major services, however long the manual says between coolant changes.

If your car is losing coolant, you're either leaking, or burning. Either one is cause for alarm, and you should take the car to the dealer for service.

As for bug wash... Welcome to Eastern WA. It's worse up where you are, too, because you've got that lake up there (Medical Lake, is it?) that is just a giant mosquito breeding ground.

My dad, who lives in SE WA, deals with bugs by washing his car every week, paying careful attention to the front end. He also has a specific sponge and bug remover product that he uses on the front of the hood and the bumper.

Then again, my dad IS kinda anal about his Miata... Never have I seen one man wax so much.

Wait... Are you referring to adding coolant to the windshield washer bottle? As far as adding coolant to the reservoir, no, I have never had to.

I've had to add washer fluid 3 times over the last 7 months. I hate bug wash because of the white haze it leaves, but it seems like the only stuff that will actually get rid of the bugs. I can't find it anymore (now I can't remember the brand), but there was a bug wash that didn't leave any haze and worked great. I think it was an additive.
