I have a blown KA24E motor in a 90 240SX SE and cannot locate a replacement motor in any of the yards in the area.

I am looking for a dependable motor that I can just drop in (for the most part) to get this car back on the road. I would love to be able to afford to do an SR20DET upgrade but that is not in my budget.

My main question is what donor cars can I get a KA24DE from that will bolt onto my 5 speed transmission. What besides the motor will I need to get

I found a good running KA24DE motor in a 96 Altima and I can have the engine wiring harness and ECU... It looks like routing to the air cleaner would be backwards (opening pointing to firewall), could I just use my intake from my motor?

You trans won't bolt up to the ka24de in the altima. Someone has tried. If you wanted to make it work you could make a adapter plate and use the intake manifold from a rwd ka24de motor. You would also have to change the wiring harness and ecu if you switch to the ka24de. Thats alot of work. I would search for good KA24E if you don't want the headache of swaping.

Thanks for your reply, but this brings me back to my primary concern.. what donor year/car can I get a motor from that will bolt up to my transmission and what do I need to get from the donor car to complete the swap? ie ecu, wiring harness, brake lines, resevoir, etc?
