Sum dumass helped me total my 92 Q45 just barely over 100k. I found it to hard to let go so I been garaging it ever since. This week im thinkin of going to work on it a firing it up. I did have Mobil One Full Synthetic Oil in it and it has been sitting since September 1st of 06. I was thinking of changing tha oil then starting it up in order to get oil from the top of the engine down. Any Recomendations? And what should i expect of tha oil that has been sitting in the engine?and for those of you wondering it looks a little like this. ____________________________________________________________

7-1/2 months of storage is no big deal for oil - if it was fresh to start with. (It probably should have been changed right after the accident to avoid any chance of it becoming acidic enough to attack bearing metals, but starting the engine at this point probably won't do any further damage - and if you're planning on changing it first anyway, it's a non-issue).

I would be sure to fill the new oil filter before installing it - Your engine is going to be very dry after sitting so long, so anything you can do to minimize the amount of time it runs before developing oil pressure is a good thing.

Remove fuel pump fuse and turn over for 10 -15 seconds to prime the oil pump first.

I think you ought to just mothball it or sell the engine and part the rest.

Chain guides?

When you're ready to start rebuilding the body.....I've got a pair of pearl white fenders in my shop in perfect condition. I'm in the Sacramento area. Let me know if you're interested.

The car shows its strength. It looks like you got out without a scratch. Lucky you!

Yea I might need a front fender, i have the 3 holes in mine cause tha whole license plate deal. Does the fender you have carry the license plate frame or is it just bare?.....And yea thanks lino, this car took all the impact, i only have a cracked radiator. With all that damage it still turned on and everything else. Pretty amazing for hitting a Cement wall at freeway speeds. Which is why i just bought another one just barely...http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2272204

I think you're asking about a bumper and I've got a pair of clean fenders. It looks like your parts car has a clean body to replace what's dented on your banged up Q so you're good to go, except for the license plate holder holes in the front bumper.

When you're done, strip her bare, donate the shell, store the parts, and sell them one-by-one on NICO. You'll get all your money back plus some. Not a bad deal. Good luck.
