From Page EC-136 in the FSM for the 1997 J30 it says:

The Voltage when the accelerator pedal fully released is approximately 0.35 - 0.65V.

I set my TPS at 0.52V & the IACV should be set to FSM specs for idle RPMs with the car fully warm w/ TPS disconnected. FSM manual instructions should be followed to "RESET IDLE POSITION MEMORY" (page EC-74)

install new TPS runs perfect shifts perfect still plus codes cats sensors cut off with cats(not me ,some hillbillys needed money)install new cats without plugs was going to bypass with kit but it says in my factory 1997 J30 book that they are only there to tell if the cats are making a differenct and they have no affect on engine performance ,but they will pull up a code and turn mil on but they shound'nt pull the rest of them up including new tps after bat disconected but screw it, it halls a** new motor with 56k 400.00 ,car almost perfect bought for 400.00 (drop valve) total investment around 1100 bucks with new cats
