engine codes on the ecu

I read how to get a led code from the ecu behind the right side kick plate ..

Do you have to take the ecu out ??

I dont see a actuator screw anywhere and the only led I see when the motor is running is at the front end of the box ??had to take a cover screw out and pry it open just to see that !!!

OOiy ..Isnt as easy as that post seemed ...

the reason is because they figure the tech will have easy access to a consult, so theres no need for the code thing to be in the front.. The wires for the ECU need to be easily accessible for probing purposes...
