engine code p1102 need help

03 max. i was driving home n my car started spuddering once it got to about 2500 rpms n owuldnt rev past it. i did a 0bd test n the code for the maf sensor (p1102 came up. so i changed the filter n cleand the sensor w/ that MAF sensor cleaning stuff u buy @ auto zone and it is still doin the same thing. n i rain really hard today too. the car is in "limp" mode n i dont want to hav to replace the maf sensor($350!)

MAF is probably shot then. Cleaning the MAF will only save it if it's good but dirty. It' won't bring a dead MAF back to life.

If you're reluctant to spend the money without knowing it'll work, you can try and get a hold of a known-good MAF and test it. Might even be able to convince your favorite autoparts store to let you test-fit one of their re-mans to see if it solves the issue.Unfortunately, though, if your MAF is indeed bad, there's no really another solution.

thats what i was gonna do was try a re-man since its cheeper n its like a $50-$100 core charge too
