has anyone ever built up a q45 engine to pull out some extra pwer if so i need details... also my q has begun blowing a small amount of blue smoke from the tail pipe under acceration, could it be something besides the head gasket... also my q is a 97 with 83k on it

Thats my car! and no, the engine (internals) were never built up..... I dont think theres any stock motor than can handle 275 shot of nitrous...

People have been lowering compression a little to handle extra boost..... Or do you want a higher compression engine?

Everything so far is been done on stock internals with varying degrees of results.

The engine is essentially a race engine detuned for everyday heavy sedan hauling duty that noone has dedicated the time and money it would take to engineer and manufacture the components to make it as reliable at a higher output. Such an engine would not fare well in daily use in a two ton sedan for lack of bottom end torque unless boosted, then there are all kind of issues that must be addressed in the cooling and powertrain after such an engine is developed sufficiently to run on the street.
