my engine seems to be bogging a lil bit. idk what it is i just changed the fuel injectors and got an intake for it. everytime i step on it it doesnt seem as fast as it was. could it be the fuel filter?

was the engine bogging before these parts were replaced? I had the same problem and it turned out that the spark plug wires and plugs needed to be replaced.

ok..its probly sumpin to do with your injectors....your ither gettin too much fuel..or not enough fuel..the not enough fuel can be a verry bad thing..called (Detonation)..its the limit at witch air/gas will explode with enough force to destroy a engine..when you have enough fuel..the fuel air mix burnes at a controlled rate....you may have to change back to your old injectors and intake till you can properly match the intake injectors you chose to a fuel map that works with a tuned ecu..change back to all your old stuff and see if it helps..if it does..take your ride and the parts down to a reputable tuner ..i would allso sugest a piggy back unit like a safeC or emanage..keep us posted on what ya find...there is many possiblilitys it may be sumpin else..but this is what i can think of with the info given from you.

yea it bogged real bad. i changed the stock airbox to a cone filter which helped a lil bit and i was running on 3 cylinders last week cuz a injector was out. i changed that to a new one. the car runs and pulls strong it just seems like sumthing is weighing down the car. could it be the fuel filter since the cars so old. also im averaging about 23-25 mpg depending on the ac which is pretty good i suppose for a ka wit 160000 miles

sounds like you car is running pretty good. my car gets a bout 28 mpg. like i said before it maybe your spark plug wires. if they don't work then take them back to the auto store. doesn't hurt to try.

Check the codes on your ECU. It sounds like it could be your MAF sensor.

UPDATE: aug 20: i didnt check my ecu since i didnt want to go through all da trouble cuz i have skool. i went ahead to advanced and got da crc MAF sensor. sprayed it n waited a couple mins. gave it a test drive n it pulls real good no sense or feeling of bogging at all. THX for the help guys.
