Engine Block To Head Dowel Question

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

There are two dowels but where are they placed and i know in hondas the dowels are solid but hollow circular pieces. these dowels have a slit kinda like the piston rings slit. is that supposed to be there?

There should be 2 holes on the deck that those dowels fit into. They go there.
