I will have to work on polishing the valve cover and I installed a grounding kit recently that dosen't show in this pick. OK for now, more to come. I also have to install a support braket for the intake that connects to the MAF bolts. I'll have most of that done this weekend. No flaming , I know its a little lame right now but it's just the begining

BTW what should I do, polished valve cover with blue oil cap or blue valve cover with polished oil cap? discuss

it's a good start.

I'd do a polished valve cover with a blue cap so that you don't dominate the engine bay of a white car with blue

Yep thats a KA alright!

Is that rust I see on the radiator braces, might want to remove sand off/spray pain them, replace nuts with some polished silver/gold..You could also paint your hood prop looks a bit faded mine looks very beat up.Hmm your brake fluid looks pretty dark I would check/change that if so.

Good idea on the valve cover, I don't want any one color to over whelm things under the hood. And yes the brake fluid needs to be flushed and filled. The radiator supports will be taken off and given a shot of paint tonight along with the hood prop. Thanks for the advice , keep it coming.

Pretty clean :-P. I would polish the valve cover, or maybe go black. And get a K & N filter, red looks better :-P :-D.

Nice pic, the shroud is removed. Do you use electric fans to help cooling, I don't see the stock fan that mounts to the end of the crank. Dose that help the engine rev freer?

I painted the battery tie down and the radiator support brackets last night. They turned out OK but I need to sand blast them before I paint them for the best results I think. I will have some shots of the engine bay up some time next week when I finish it all off. I tried doing the front of the valve cover in a small section with a stainless steel bruch on my dremmel, it cleaned it up OK but it didn't polish it at all even after using a buffing wheel bit. I need to use someactual buffing compond to get that I think. Any recomendations on the compound of methods of polishing? I have a buffing wheel that is normally used for car wax, with the right pad would that work?

for the valve cover, just hit it with some 800 or so grit sandpaper to smooth it out and use some high temp engine spray paint, thats what i did, sorry i don't have any pics, no digital camera, but as far as polishing goes, good old elbow grease and some nevr-dull never hurt anyone.

I am thinking about that but I'd need to find a oil cap that isn't adonized. I don't like that look and that pretty much what everyone offers I'll post shots up tomorrow of the engine bay as it is now

White would actually be pretty hot ( again.... no pun intended ) but I would need to find the pearl white ( I belive aspen white according to nissan ) to do the job. I ordered the inner and outer gasket set for the valve cover yesterday and am picking it up tonight, maybe I'll take a walk down internet lane and see iff I can find that color. I'll let ya'll know. BTW engine bay shots will be up this weekend, gf is putting them on sometime today

Is that dryer vent tube directing air to your CAI?

Bust out some polishing compound and a dremel for your valve cover.
