Hi,Are their any notorious engine bay noises associated with the ka24de? what i got going on is, what i believe two different noises. One makes the noise all the time. its not a squeal like a belt i thought it might be a pulley? is that possible? the motor mounts are bad and the engine shakes really bad maybe it has something to do with it? the other noise starts when i start up but when i rev past 2800 the noise stops, any ideas? maybe the timing chain or valves? any help would be awesome thx

sounds like you just have a lot of problems. for sure the raddling noise is your timing chain. the others could be a lot of things.

If you spot any leak from the gasket, get a new one. Also get some sillicone for half circle area. You need it when you put it back on. Get an FSM and make sure to tighten the bolts in order. If you search, you will find what I'm talking about.

my alternator mounting bolt almost rattled itself off the car once. i kept hearing a noise that i thought was my timing chain about to die, but it ended up being the washer on the mounting bolt rattling around. take a look around while the engine is running and rev it up at the throttle body while looking around to see if you can visibly see anything moving that shouldn't be.watch out for the clutch fan though, that thing hurts like hell.
