Plenum Pull to clean the engine a bad idea?

got the next two days off and planning on cleaning connectors and the engine bay in general.
wanting to pull the plenum to see if there is something leaking near the passenger plugs/injectors

OK to use dielectric grease on all connectors im guessing?

just be carefull where you get water

if you pull the plenum be sure to tape off the intake and pipes iwht ductape or somethign to keep water form getting in there, the cop's are another area where you won't want water

the intake cam cover generally leaks itno the cop valley
and yes die eletric grease is fine just be sure you clean the contacts and unplug replug and test to find the ones that decide to be a problem after you touch them (thats just kinda how this works)

what's a good product to use to clean the actually painted areas of the engine bay?

Painted areas with no grease/grime you want to get rid of you can use regular car soap.

If you want to remove grease/grime I'd use a degreaser I like autoglym engine+machine cleaner. Just makesure to read instructions and make sure its ok for clear coats and won't eat paint.

Some people use simple green? Shouldn't be too harsh.
